The Desert Road

The Desert Road is a worldbuilding project I did over the course of a week or two in December 2012 and January 2013. It's a sort of pulpy action-adventure type dealie, set in and around a huge mysterious desert.

Rules bits

I eventually decided on Savage Worlds for the game system. I've written races, some new edges, and some new hindrances for it. You should be able to just use the core rules, but there's no reason you couldn't also use the Fantasy companion for extra spells and items and such. It's not necessary though.

I also got as far as writing a couple of races for Pathfinder and some ideas about a magic system (since one of my design paramaters was 'burn Vancian spell slots in a fire'). That... didn't work out, but you can find what I did write here. Just be warned that it's messy, to say the least.
